TPE is a material that blends the best properties of both rubber and plastic. It's flexible enough to conform perfectly to complex floor and footwell shapes, yet rigid enough to hold that shape permanently. Unlike standard generic rubber mats, TPE has shape memory: if it ever flexes out of shape during installation or storage, a little warmth or direct sunlight is often enough to return it to its original moulded form.

Holding Shape

A floor mat is only as good as its fit, and fit depends entirely on the material holding the shape it was moulded into.

TPE has exceptional elastic memory. When we 3D scan a vehicle footwell and press a mat to that exact profile, the TPE locks that geometry in permanently. The mat shouldn't sag, curl at the edges, or flatten out over time the way that rubber or carpet mats do. It sits flush against every contour of the footwell, with no gaps for water, mud, or debris to sneak underneath.

Even if the mat is warped in transit, it springs right back to its original shape when it warms up. That's something that rubber simply can't match.

Durability

Standard rubber degrades. UV exposure makes it brittle and cracked. Harsh Australian summers accelerate this, and most rubber mats start showing their age within a few years.

TPE doesn't behave this way. It's UV-stabilised and temperature resistant, handling everything from below-zero mornings to 60°C cabin temperatures in summer without cracking, warping, or losing flexibility. The surface retains its texture and grip underfoot year after year.

Easy Cleaning

TPE is non-porous. Mud, water, pet hair, red dirt - none of it soaks in.

Pull the mat out, rinse it with a hose, and it's clean. No scrubbing, no odour retention, no staining. Because TPE doesn't absorb moisture the way rubber and carpet do, there's no mould or mildew to worry about either.
